forgive them anyway
If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish ulterior motives...
be kind anyway
If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies...
succeed anyway
If you are honest, people may cheat you...
be honest anyway
What you may spend years building, someone may destroy overnight...
build anyway
If you find serenity and happiness, people may be jealous...
be happy anyway
The good you do today, may be forgotten tomorrow...
do good anyway
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough...
give your best anyway
You see, in the end, it's between you and God...
it was never between you and them anyway

Dear Heidi,
Thank you for posting this on your blog. I heard this message when you used it in your sermon a few weeks ago and loved its message of God's will for all of our lives. It was just the reminder I needed this morning, when I was facing a day, and was more than a little uninspired.
I will do it anyway today. Thanks for making it a little easier.
